The news of a new Moog synthesizer is already important in itself, but when you add the fact that for the first time the renowned American brand decides to fully embrace the Eurorack format project, suggesting a future development of modules for this standard, it is clear that interest in this innovation is far greater. Moog's entry into the Eurorack format is a grand entrance with a semi-modular table top synthesizer with on-board sequencer and a wide range of connectivity options thanks to an interconnection patchbay with mini jack Eurorack format. The Mother-32, the name of the new synthesizer from the Asheville house, integrates a 32-step CV/Gate sequencer with 64 sequence locations, Moog low pass and high pass filter, an oscillator with independent output for waveforms, a sub-audio/audio modulation oscillator, two voltage-controlled mixers, MIDI In and MIDI to CV conversion, a patchbay with 32 connection points and CV jack with 16 possible assignment sources, all in an aluminum cabinet with wooden side panels. This is the first (but certainly not the last) module available from Moog in the standard Eurorack format and will be accompanied by a wide range of accessories such as kits for mounting the module in a rack and patch cables.
