MOOG MUSIC SIRIN is a limited edition analog synth created to celebrate the Moog House of Electronicus Pop-up. Based on the legendary Moog Taurus sound engine and presented in the familiar compact form of the Moog Minitaur, MOOG MUSIC SIRIN is the first instrument in the Taurus family of bass synthesizers designed to generate pitches above middle C, with an extended frequency range reaching notes up to D8. Connecting MOOG MUSIC SIRIN directly to any MIDI controller immediately provides access to a portable world of powerful analog sound, or connecting it to a computer via USB allows for exploring even deeper levels of sound design, where every parameter can be manipulated, automated, and recalled using the dedicated Sirin's Software Editor Librarian (free download for PC and Mac).
MOOG MUSIC SIRIN's fully recallable analog sound engine originates from two Taurus Bass analog oscillators that have been re-engineered to raise octaves beyond the traditional boundaries of its mythical ancestors. The harmonic transmissions of MOOG MUSIC SIRIN are dynamically shaped and sculpted by a classic Moog Ladder filter that operates in perfect harmony with two ultra-fast ADSR envelopes and a multi-waveform LFO, offering a wide spectrum of expressive tonal variety and versatility.
MOOG MUSIC SIRIN seamlessly integrates with modern computer-based production environments via its dedicated Editor Librarian software (available as a free download for registered Sirin owners), manages patches, automates parameters, unlocks 6 additional LFO waveforms, activates Hard Sync, loads up to 128 presets into Sirin, allows access to full ADSR envelopes and more.
Only a limited production of 2500 MOOG MUSIC SIRIN units is being manufactured by owner-employees at the Moog factory in Asheville, North Carolina, after which it will no longer be available.
