The MOTU MIDI EXPRESS XT is an 8-in/8-out MIDI interface, patchbay, and merger with time code sync. The MOTU MIDI EXPRESS XT is a professional MIDI interface with SMPTE synchronizer that provides plug-and-play connection with any Mac or Windows computer featuring a USB port. The MOTU MIDI EXPRESS XT has 8 MIDI IN, 9 MIDI OUT, 128 MIDI channels, and compatibility with all Mac and Windows software. The sixteen presets (8 factory and 8 user-programmable) provide immediate front panel access to multiple functions. ClockWorks, the software console for Mac OS X and Windows, provides a full range of MIDI routing, merging, and muting.
As a professional-grade SMPTE synchronizer, the MOTU MIDI EXPRESS XT converts and reads SMPTE in all frame formats (23.976, 24, 25, 29.97 drop and non-drop, and 30). The MOTU MIDI EXPRESS XT also supports MIDI Machine Control (MMC), with the ability to act as both an MMC Master or slave and can distribute MMC transport commands to all other connected MMC devices.
For example, you can send MIDI synth and sound module patch changes during live performances. The MOTU MIDI EXPRESS XT fully leverages USB, offering high-speed MIDI flow, sub-millisecond accuracy, support for "hot-swapping" and plug-and-play.
