Questo pedale, frutto di una collaborazione tra il team di sviluppo MXR e Eddie Van Halen risalente al 2015, ripropone in formato pedale il tipico suono high gain EVH che ha contraddistinto la sua carriera. Le manopole OUTPUT e GAIN permettono di bilanciare il volume di uscita e la saturazione, permettendo anche ai riff più pesanti di mantenere definizione. I controlli BASS, MID e TREBLE modellano il carattere del suono con precisione. Lo switch BOOST aumenta il gain per far emergere gli assoli. L'interruttore 55 Hz/80 Hz permette di rendere le frequenze basse più corpose o più incisive, scegliendo il taglio delle basse che vengono gestite dalla manopola BASS. Per massimizzare la chiarezza anche con OUTPUT e GAIN al massimo, il controllo NOISE GATE gestisce il rumore di fondo del segnale.

GATE: attiva il noise gate (la manopola si illumina di blu quando attivo) e imposta il threshold del gate
OUTPUT: regola il volume generale dell'effetto
BASS: regola le frequenze basse
BASS SHIFT: selezionail taglio di frequenze basse, gestite dalla manopola BASS. Impostandolo a 80 Hz si ottiene una gamma bassa più stretta, mentre a 55 Hz fornisce basse robuste
MID: regola le frequenze medie
TREBLE: regola le frequenze alte
BOOST: aggiunge gain in ingresso per una saturazione più intensa, ma anche nello stage di gain finale per un clipping extra non compresso e un incremento del volume. Con la manopola GAIN impostata a livelli bassi, aggiunge chiarezza e punch. A livelli più alti aggiunge un sustain ricco
