Il Fullbore Metal Distortion di MXR offre una distorsione high-gain perfetta per i riff più potenti. Questo pedale compatto dispone di un gain molto elevato e, al suo interno, ha un Noise Gate attivabile con l'apposito switch per eliminare il rumore che deriva da un gain estremo. Dispone di una sezione EQ a tre bande, con controlli Low, Mid e High. Oltre ai controlli Volume e Gain è presente un controllo Freq per gestire il range di frequenze regolato dalla manopola Mid, e uno switch Scoop che incrementa alte e basse.
