The MXR M280 Vintage Bass Octave brings back the analog sounds of a classic octaver circuit, adding precise tracking, cleaner headroom, and the controls needed to make it a versatile pedal suitable for the modern bassist. This pedal offers two octaves: one octave down and two octaves down. Each can be adjusted separately with the Oct 1 and Oct 2 volume controls, also adjusting the clean signal with the Dry knob to create the right mix. For greater clarity and definition, the Mid switch allows you to boost the mid frequencies of the clean pedal by +6 dB at 800 Hz. For an even greater boost, you can adjust the internal trimpot to increase the level by +13 dB. Finally, this pedal features Constant Headroom Technology, a circuit that provides clean and crystalline headroom by producing 18 volts from a 9-volt source.
