The NEUMANN KH 120 A G is an active near-field monitor featuring maximum signal fidelity and well-defined transients across its neutrally designed frequency response. This allows for precise control over tonal depth, spatial imaging, and even the smallest details in the mix.
The NEUMANN KH 120 A G is a bi-amplified two-way monitor with thermally protected Class AB amplifiers (80 W each). Just like the drivers, the MMD™ (Mathematically Modeled Dispersion™) waveguide is calculated with an optimal level of precision. The precisely horizontally distributed sound ensures flexibility in listening position; the narrower vertical dispersion reduces the negative effects of nearby reflections, for example, from a desk or mixing console. The finely controlled dispersion characteristics optimize playback even in the most diverse room configurations.
The NEUMANN KH 120 A G is typically used in near-field applications such as project, music, broadcast, and post-production studios for recording, mixing, and mastering.
With its digital switching power supply and bi-amplification, the NEUMANN KH 120 A G produces sound pressure up to 111.1 dB while maintaining a neutral, high-resolution representation across the entire frequency response. This provides sufficient power for maximum dynamics without distortion and loss. As a result, the bass extends down to an impressive 52 Hz. Despite the ports in use, there is no "overhang" in the bass response. The transient response remains well controllable. The optimized driver design delivers clean sound down to the lowest parts of the 50 Hz region. This rich foundation provides enough headroom to work cleanly on the mix without the need for a supplementary subwoofer. In the demanding treble range, the specially developed fabric dome ensures distortion-free reproduction.
