ADO8V3S è la scheda di ingresso in versione Standard progettata per il mainframe Hapi MkIII di Merging, oggi nel catalogo Neumann. Aggiunge otto preamplificatori microfonici e di linea di progettazione svizzera, noti per la trasparenza e il bassissimo rumore, e affianca a ciascun canale un'uscita diretta analogica.
Ogni preamplificatore offre guadagno controllato via software da 0 a +66 dB, alimentazione phantom, inversione di fase e filtro passa-basso commutabili per canale. L'ingresso accetta fino a +24 dBu in modalità linea; in modalità microfono sono disponibili pad, normale e boost con livelli massimi rispettivamente di +24, +12 e +0 dBu. La gamma dinamica raggiunge 137 dB pesata A sull'ingresso microfonico e 139 dB sull'ingresso linea, con rumore equivalente in ingresso inferiore a -127 dBu.
Le uscite dirette, prelevate dopo il preamplificatore, permettono di inviare il segnale analogico a un secondo registratore o a un sistema di backup, una soluzione preziosa nelle registrazioni dal vivo e nel broadcast. Un circuito di auto-mute protegge le uscite durante l'accensione.
La versione Standard lavora a frequenze di campionamento fino a 192 kHz, ideale per la grande maggioranza delle produzioni. Ingressi e uscite sono su connettori DB-25 secondo lo standard AES59 (Tascam analogico), per un cablaggio rapido e ordinato. Il controllo remoto è possibile anche via MIDI.
