La DA8 è la scheda di uscita analogica a otto canali per i convertitori di rete Merging Horus e Hapi. Si tratta di una seconda generazione del modulo, basata sul convertitore D/A ESS ES9028PRO e su una circuiteria rivista per ridurre al minimo il degrado del segnale, così da offrire uscite di qualità reference per monitoraggio, mastering e distribuzione del segnale.
Le otto uscite di linea bilanciate sono disponibili su un connettore DB-25 con piedinatura standard AES59 (Tascam analogico), facilmente collegabile a patchbay, console o diffusori tramite i cavi multipolari dedicati Merging. Il livello massimo di uscita arriva a +25 dBu a 0 dBFS e i trim di livello sono controllati digitalmente a passi di 0,5 dB, facilitando le procedure di allineamento in impianti multicanale.
Le prestazioni misurate sono di alto profilo: gamma dinamica tipica di 127 dB pesata A, THD+N inferiore a -113 dB a 1 kHz e 0 dBFS, diafonia fra i canali di -140 dB a 1 kHz e risposta in frequenza lineare da 0 Hz a 20 kHz entro +0/-0,3 dB a 48 kHz.
