Hapi MkIII è l'evoluzione del celebre convertitore modulare di Merging Technologies, oggi parte del gruppo Neumann. In un solo rack unit concentra un'interfaccia audio di rete ad altissima qualità che si configura in base alle esigenze grazie a due slot per le schede di espansione Merging, nelle versioni Standard e Premium, che possono anche essere combinate nella stessa unità.
Il cuore del sistema è la connettività di rete: due porte RJ45 utilizzabili in modalità ridondante o switch trasportano oltre 400 canali bidirezionali RAVENNA/AES67 a 1FS, con supporto per NMOS, ST2110, ST2022-7 e LAWO HOME. Hapi MkIII è inoltre Dante Ready, con licenze opzionali da 16x16 o 64x64 canali, ed è quindi ideale per studi, sale broadcast e produzioni live che operano su infrastrutture AoIP eterogenee.
Di serie l'unità offre 8 canali AES/EBU su connettore D-Sub, una porta ottica commutabile tra 8 canali ADAT e 2 canali S/PDIF, word clock su BNC, ingresso LTC su XLR, MIDI su DIN a 5 poli e riferimento video su BNC. Le uscite cuffia di qualità mastering, su jack da 1/4" e 1/8", permettono un ascolto accurato direttamente dal rack.
La gestione delle frequenze di campionamento è completa: PCM da 44,1 a 384 kHz, DXD e DSD64/128/256 con le schede Premium. Il display OLED con encoder rotativo consente il controllo diretto, mentre l'interfaccia web permette la configurazione remota. Con una latenza da ingresso a uscita inferiore a 1 ms, Hapi MkIII è una piattaforma versatile per registrazione, monitoraggio immersivo e distribuzione del segnale in rete.
