Il Neumann SG 5 è uno snodo orientabile progettato per fissare in modo sicuro i microfoni Neumann dotati di attacco filettato all'asta, consentendo di inclinarli e orientarli con precisione verso la sorgente sonora. Lo snodo presenta sul lato microfono un filetto maschio da 3/8", mentre sul lato asta dispone di un filetto femmina 5/8"-27, lo standard più diffuso sulle aste di tipo americano. In dotazione è incluso un adattatore filettato che permette il collegamento anche ad aste con filetto da 1/2" e da 3/8", rendendo l'SG 5 compatibile con la maggior parte dei supporti in uso in Europa e nel resto del mondo.
