MX40 Pro è il principale controller per display a LED 4 K di NovaStar con molte nuove opzioni che offre una soluzione all-in-one per pilotare grandi schermi a LED ad alte risoluzioni. Dispone di ingressi HDMI 2.0, DP 1.2 e 12G-SDI che supportano risoluzioni di ingresso fino a 4096x2160@60 Hz a un massimo di 12 bit. Le 20 porte di uscita Ethernet e/o le 4 uscite in fibra ottica SFP possono essere utilizzate per pilotare direttamente gli schermi a LED. Nota: i moduli SFP e i convertitori di fibra CVT10 necessari devono essere acquistati separatamente.Le capacità interne di MX40 Pro supportano la migliore qualità d'immagine possibile. Il Dynamic Booster migliora il contrasto e riduce il consumo energetico del pannello. Le sorgenti video HDR10 e HLG sono supportate, fornendo un'immagine più realistica. Il Led Image Booster migliora la gamma di colori passando da una gamma all’altra. Per ciò che riguarda la scala dei grigi ne ottimizza le immagini permettendo correzioni individuali a 16 bit e ne previene la perdita nelle scene a bassa risoluzione utilizzando la tecnologia 22 bit+. Il controller video 4 K è in grado di elaborare immagini 3D, utilizzando l'emettitore EMT200 3D e gli occhiali 3D.
MX40 Pro può essere controllato dalla nuova piattaforma software VMP. Intuitiva e facile da usare, permette di configurare gli schermi in quasi tutti i layout desiderati. Le dimensioni regolari e irregolari degli schermi possono essere configurate molto velocemente. Tramite il PC di controllo si possono collegare in cascata e controllare in modo uniforme fino a dieci MX40 Pro. La funzione Genlock integrata permette di sincronizzare facilmente più controller.
Nota: i controller della serie MX supportano solo le schede ricevitore della serie A5s Plus o superiore. Le schede ricevitore precedenti, come la serie MRV, non sono supportate.
