Novation FLkey 2 49 is a USB MIDI controller designed specifically for FL Studio, with a level of native integration that provides direct access to Channel Rack, Step Sequencer, Mixer, Playlist, and plugins without the need for manual configuration. The 49 full-size semi-weighted keybed offers a balanced dynamic response, suitable for both melodic programming and expressive performance. The pitch and modulation wheels allow for articulate control of performance, maintaining operational consistency with hardware and virtual instruments.
The pad section consists of 16 velocity-sensitive RGB pads with polyphonic aftertouch, designed for finger drumming and step sequencing. Integration with native tools such as FPC, SliceX, and Fruity Slicer allows for direct use without additional mapping, while visual feedback facilitates real-time interaction.
Total control of creative functions and mix
Mix and parameter management is handled via 8 endless encoders and 9 precision faders with dedicated buttons, pre-mapped for Mixer and plugin control. The OLED display provides clear and immediate information on the parameters in use, improving control during editing and automation.
Integrated creative functionalities include Scale Mode to avoid out-of-scale notes, Fixed Chord to generate complex chords from a single key, Chord Maps to build progressions, and an advanced arpeggiator for creating dynamic patterns. Compatibility with multiple software and operating systems
FLkey 2 49 is also designed to work outside of FL Studio, thanks to class-compliant compatibility with macOS, Windows, and iOS, and Mackie HUI support for other DAWs. The presence of a 5-pin DIN MIDI output allows for direct integration with hardware synthesizers and other MIDI devices.
Customization is managed via the Novation Components software, which allows you to create custom mappings for plugins, DAWs, and external hardware. The controller is also compatible with the NKS standard, offering advanced integration with Native Instruments instruments.
The included software bundle includes a six-month trial of FL Studio Producer Edition, Melodics for learning, Novation Play, and a selection of professional instruments and effects developed in collaboration with partners such as Native Instruments, GForce, Klevgrand, and Orchestral Tools.
