The NOVATION SUMMIT is a 61-key polyphonic synth with 3 oscillators per voice (New Oxford Oscillators) and 16 voices of polyphony, perfect for live or studio use.
The NOVATION SUMMIT effectively provides two Peaks in one machine, allowing for splits and layers on the keyboard with completely independent patches. But that's not all, as it also offers a wide range of additional functionalities. The Peak's layout is further extended with many 'hidden' controls and functions accessible on the front panel, such as FM routing, LFO 3 and 4, all arpeggiator parameters, with the addition of pitch and mod wheels.
The NOVATION SUMMIT also features numerous new filter options and includes an audio input for processing external sources with its reverb, chorus, and delay effects. The core of the NOVATION SUMMIT consists of three New Oxford Oscillators per voice, housed on the FPGA (Field Programmable Gate Array) chip, with two waveform generation techniques: NCO (Numerically-Controlled Oscillators) and 17 digital wavetables.
In addition to generating perfectly "analogue-style" waveforms at extremely high resolution, this synthesizer architecture also guarantees wavetable and FM synthesis. The signal path then includes dual filters, three stages of distortion, and VCA, all strictly in the analog domain.
