ORTOFON 2M 78 is a cartridge with a spherical stylus for 78 rpm records, featuring an improved engine that provides a high level of sonic precision. The cartridge body is made of Hopelex, which ensures high rigidity by eliminating unwanted resonances.
The ORTOFON 2M 78 uses a strapped output to deliver the same output signal from both sets of pole pins. This effectively eliminates the need for specific mono equipment, making true mono reproduction possible on any stereo playback system.
