The ORTOFON 2M BLACK is a cartridge with a Shibata stylus whose thin, highly polished profile allows for an extremely large contact area with the groove walls, ensuring particularly detailed reproduction across the entire spectrum, including high-frequency groove information.
The cartridge body is made of Hopelex, a material that guarantees high rigidity while eliminating unwanted resonances. The ORTOFON 2M BLACK uses a special updated motor, equipped with split pins and silver-plated copper wire.
The design has been optimized to facilitate cartridge mounting, and the weight and dimensions have been made ideal to fit the most common turntables on the market today.
