The Peluso P-87 is styled after the classic 1970's vintage version of the Neumann U-87. Peluso has captured the sound and magic of the most popular microphone ever made by emulating the vintage characteristics and design. This 48v phantom-powered large-diaphragm microphone has all the features of a transformer-based microphone. The P-87 employs three toggle switches on the microphone body, including polar patterns, controlled on the front with a three-position switch for cardioid, omni and figure-8. On the back of the microphone, a low-frequency roll-off switch decreases their gain if needed. Also on the back, a -10 dB pad switch can be used for close-miking brass, guitar cabinets, drums or other high-SPL sources.
The kit comes complete with a velvet pouch, shock mount, rigid stand mount, and windscreen, all included in an elegant flight case.
