An ideal complement to any full-range loudspeaker and a perfect companion to PreSonus® CDL-series loudspeakers, the CDL Sub18 active subwoofer delivers accurate, consistent low-end frequencies driven by an integrated 2,000W Class D amplifier and features a unique bass-reflex design that maximizes efficiency. Its powerful, clear low-frequency performance, coupled with a compact design, makes the CDL Sub18 an excellent choice for both permanent installations and mobile audio applications.
The CDL Sub18 is equipped with an 18-inch LF transducer with a 4-inch voice coil, offering a 7mm driver excursion before reaching maximum limits; this allows it to move more air, providing a low-frequency impact that can be physically felt. Whether flown or ground-stacked, the CDL Sub18 and CDL12P or CDL10P models form a complete system characterized by a smooth response across the entire frequency spectrum.
An integrated pole mount allows for ground-stacked configurations with up to two CDL-series loudspeakers. For more bass, two CDL Sub18 subwoofers can be stacked. Integrated M10 rigging points facilitate suspended installation of CDL Sub18 subwoofers, offering flexibility in any environment.
To ensure versatility in different live sound situations, a system menu is available to adjust the subwoofer's performance. This includes presets for optimizing sound and a variable low-pass filter to adjust the transition with full-range speakers.
