Catapult is a 4-channel audio snake that allows you to send analog and AES digital audio signals over standard shielded Cat 5 or Cat 6 twisted-pair cable. This allows stage technicians to take advantage of the relatively low cost of this readily available cable for return snakes or to carry balanced audio channels over large stages, and system installers can utilize pre-wired networks to connect room to room.

Available in 6 configurations, Catapult offers a choice of 3 input modules and 3 output modules. Each input module features 4 XLR inputs, 4 XLR thru-puts along with 2 Neutrik Ethercon outputs for connecting the Cat 5 cable to the desired output module. These are equipped with an Ethercon type RJ45 input and thru-put, plus two sets of XLR outputs. Modules can be ordered without transformers for sub-snakes or for transmitting AES audio signals; with mic isolation transformers for signal splitting between FOH, monitors, or a recording system; with line-level isolation transformers to eliminate system noise. A ground lift switch on each terminal allows you to connect the Ethernet cable while eliminating noise and hum caused by ground loops.

Like all Radial products, Catapult is ideal for touring thanks to its robust 14-gauge steel construction and powder coating that will keep it looking new for years. Inside, a double-sided PCB was used to mount the connectors and transformers, doubling the solder joints for maximum durability.
