The RADIAL ENGINEERING AC-DRIVER is a pedal preamp for acoustic instruments designed for stage use, useful for optimizing performance and ensuring the instrument has the best possible sound.
The Radial Class-A buffered circuit ensures excellent audio quality and allows for connections with long cables or pedal chains without signal loss or degradation. A ¼" output for connecting to an amplifier offers the ability to monitor the sound on stage. Additionally, there is a balanced line to send the signal to a PA system or a powered speaker. To tune silently or change an instrument without hum or noise, simply press the Mute button to disable all outputs of the RADIAL ENGINEERING AC-DRIVER except for the Tuner output, a feature that makes it perfect for live performances, especially in the absence of a dedicated sound engineer or for shows where greater control over the sound is desired compared to a classic DI Box.
The RADIAL ENGINEERING AC-DRIVER also features an adjustable low-cut filter to remove excessive low-frequency content, along with powerful feedback reduction functions. A 180° phase adjustment switch allows for correcting feedback buildup from hot spots on stage, while a Notch filter helps pinpoint and remove specific problematic frequencies. The RADIAL ENGINEERING AC-DRIVER can be easily powered with a standard 9V adapter or a multi-pedal power brick. Furthermore, its 14-gauge steel chassis and military-grade circuit make it suitable for the toughest tours.
