The RADIAL ENGINEERING KEY-LARGO is a unique and powerful device that combines a multi-channel keyboard mixer with the extraordinary performance of real-time control via footswitches!
Designed for live use, it has a compact design that offers three dual ¼" analog inputs for standard keyboards and a USB interface for connecting a laptop for use with soft synths. Each stereo input features an individual level control for quick on-stage adjustments, plus an effects loop for interfacing with an external multi-effects device. This effects loop can be engaged or disengaged using the integrated footswitch to add echo or reverb when desired. The effects bus is stereo but can be summed to mono when using guitar pedals. There is also an integrated sustain pedal that allows you to connect Key-Largo to your master-keyboard or digital piano with a standard guitar cable, eliminating the need to carry a separate sustain pedal to the gig!
As with all RADIAL ENGINEERING products, the KEY-LARGO is robust and sounds exceptional! It features a 14-gauge steel construction with steel potentiometers and switches designed to withstand the rigors of touring. Internally, a switch mode elevates the voltage to 24 volts, providing greater headroom to handle the most dynamic digital keyboards and powerful analog synthesizers without problems of overloading or distortion. Separate monitor outputs allow the artist to adjust the on-stage level, while the main XLR outputs provide a balanced connection to the PA system. The main outputs are transformer-isolated to eliminate noise and hum caused by ground loops. All outputs feature Ground lift switches to further reduce noise.
Thanks to USB and MIDI connectivity, the RADIAL ENGINEERING KEY-LARGO easily integrates with all types of keyboard setups. The high-quality 24bit/192kHz converters allow for the reproduction of the best soft-synths and sample libraries, also offering the possibility to record via USB with excellent audio quality. This means that the RADIAL ENGINEERING KEY-LARGO can also be used as a robust recording interface, ideal for recording tracks during tours or for capturing live performances.
