The Radial Exo-Pod is a passive broadcast splitter that can take the balanced line output from a mixer and distribute the signal to 14 portable recorders, camcorders, or wireless receivers. It can also be used in conjunction with the Radial mPress master box to create a modular solution for hundreds of individual users.
The compact floor box features 14-gauge steel construction that withstands the rigors of touring. The steel frame also provides excellent protection against magnetic fields produced by lighting dimmers, power transformers, and electrical cables. The protective bumper protects the connectors and the trim switch, and the robust steel handle allows Exo-Pod to be transported with ease. The connection to and from Exo-Pod starts with a balanced XLR input, ten balanced XLR outputs, and four 3.5mm mini TRS connectors for camcorders, portable recorders, tablets, or other multimedia systems. An input trim allows the broadcast engineer to reduce the output level locally. All outputs are transformer isolated to eliminate noise and hum often caused by ground loops. The XLR outputs are integrated with individual ground lift switches for further noise reduction.
Exo-Pod is totally passive and requires no power. Simply connect your line-level source to power up to 14 microphone inputs at once with excellent audio performance, excellent signal-to-noise ratio, and plenty of headroom.
