8-CHANNEL RACKMOUNT PASSIVE DI BOX
The ProD8 is a high-density 19" 8-channel rackmount Direct Box, specifically designed to interface keyboards and pre-recorded backing tracks to the PA system, with redundant inputs for backup in live performances. The ProD8's input panel features two A-B ¼" DI inputs per channel for main and backup inputs, throughput for personal monitoring, and an effects loop that allows both A-B inputs to share the same effects for each channel. The output panel features an XLR connector, a -15dB input selector, and a "ground lift switch". An internally mounted 180º polarity reverse switch is factory calibrated with pin 2 hot. Fully passive, the ProD8 employs eight radial transformers that are linear from 20Hz to 18kHz and can withstand highly dynamic levels such as samplers and digital drum machines without batting an eye. To reduce interference from external magnetic fields, the transformers feature an external "mu-metal-nickel" shield, thus reducing phase distortion to a minimum.
