Being completely passive, it requires no power: simply connect the outputs via a standard balanced twisted-pair audio cable to the PA's microphone input, and it's ready to go. The presence of 3.5mm TRS mini-jack and RCA inputs facilitates the connection of any consumer device, while the level control allows for quick signal adjustment. When available channels are limited, the mono sum switch allows combining the two inputs into a single output. To eliminate hum and interference, the SB5W uses isolation transformers that break ground loops, supported by a recessed ground lift switch. The robust steel chassis protects the electronics and reduces electromagnetic induction, while the dedicated tie-wrap slots ensure stable fastening of the screw connectors.
