RME expands its professional MADI format interface series with the ADI-642, an 8-channel MADI to AES and vice-versa format converter. Among its many applications, this unit represents the ideal AES/EBU frontend for the Hammerfall DSP MADI PCI sound card. It supports up to 192 kHz/24 bit. Its most salient feature is the very intuitive 72x72 routing matrix, which allows individual inputs to be routed to each individual output channel, enabling free configuration of all 64 MADI channels and 8 AES channels.
