USB Audio Interface
The RME FIREFACE UFX II is a USB audio interface that represents the ultimate solution for transferring analog and digital audio data directly to a computer from virtually any source.
Numerous exclusive features, well-thought-out configuration windows, an industry-leading mixing engine and monitoring solution, professional DSP effects, and cutting-edge analog circuitry with the latest digital converters place the RME FIREFACE UFX II at the top of the range of computer-based audio interfaces.
With exceptional flexibility and compatibility, the integration of DURec (Direct USB Recording), and RME's renowned low-latency hardware and driver designs, the FIREFACE UFX II delivers a rich feature set that will appeal to users in both high-end home studios and commercial audio production facilities.
With a capacity of 60 audio channels (30 inputs and 30 outputs), support for sample rates up to 192 kHz, and the flexibility provided by USB connectivity, the new RME FIREFACE UFX II is the ideal solution for a wide range of recording, mixing, and monitoring applications.
The RME FIREFACE UFX II offers excellent flexibility allowing the interface to fit seamlessly into a myriad of production environments. Analog, ADAT, AES, SPDIF, and USB 2 are all standard on the RME FIREFACE UFX II. Equally impressive is the unit's channel count: 12 analog, 16 ADAT, and 2 AES for 30 input channels and 30 output channels. In addition, with support for USB 2 connectivity, the new RIREFACE UFX II can be integrated with RME's optional ARC USB remote controller.
The RME FIREFACE UFX II incorporates premium AD/DA converters, optimized analog I/O circuitry, as well as improved SNR and THD values to ensure clean, crystal-clear, and transparent audio. A new PAD-free mic circuit design with a maximum input level of +18 dBu and a 75 dB gain range ensures trouble-free operation for the most demanding recording environments.
Furthermore, the new low-impedance (2 Ohm) phone outputs with a maximum output level of +19 dBu provide ample power and output volume on any headphones, high or low impedance.
Since 2001, TotalMix has added unlimited routing and mixing to RME audio interfaces. Its unique ability to create as many independent submixes as there are available output channels has made it the most flexible and powerful mixer of its kind.
With supported hardware, TotalMix FX includes a complete effects system, which not only adds flexibility to the recording chain but also makes software solutions with latency obsolete.
TotalMix FX can completely replace an external mixer, allowing for the creation of multiple latency-free monitoring mixes with EQ, Dynamics, Reverb, and Delay for all outputs, including main monitors and headphone mixes for musicians.
TotalMix FX for iPad™ adds full control of the hardware mixer and DSP effects for RME FIREFACE UFX +, UFX II, UFX, UCX, 802, Babyface, Babyface Pro, and MADIface Pro in Class Compliant mode and allows you to create, save, and load complete mixes directly from the iPad™
