The RME FIREFACE UFX+ is a 12-channel Thunderbolt/USB 3.0 audio interface.
The RME FIREFACE UFX+ is the first RME audio interface to utilize Thunderbolt and USB 3 connections.
The RME FIREFACE UFX+ was designed to become the nerve center of any studio or live production situation, with the ability to manage a very high number of channels.
With an even wider range of options for connectivity and compatibility, the inclusion of DURec (Direct USB Recording) technology, and the combination of RME hardware and drivers that have always guaranteed extremely low latency, the RME FIREFACE UFX+ takes the quality and reliability of a product in this category to a new level.
The RME FIREFACE UFX+ features capabilities not present in previous models, including MADI connectivity (both optical and coaxial), which brings the total number of channels that can be managed by the interface to 188 in and out (128 more channels than the Fireface UFX). Additionally, a new DSP engine for zero-latency routing is integrated, as are new effects and dynamic processors for all channels.
The RME FIREFACE UFX+ provides USB 3.0 and Thunderbolt connections and the option to use the new optional ARC USB remote control.
It is, of course, compatible with both Mac OS X® and Windows®, with hot-plugging functionality.
