ROLAND UVC-01 is a USB video capture device that allows you to add high-quality livestreaming functionality to Roland V-series video switchers or to an HDMI-equipped camera or camcorder.
Thanks to its plug-and-play design, simply connect the ROLAND UVC-01 via HDMI, connect it to a computer's USB 3.0 port, and start streaming to Facebook Live, YouTube, and other popular platforms.
ROLAND UVC-01 can handle livestreams with uncompressed 1080p HD image quality at 60 FPS for consistently smooth motion and low-latency encoding. And thanks to its design, it always works when you need it: efficiently, consistently, and reliably.
Once connected, the ROLAND UVC-01 automatically appears as a source in streaming software, with no drivers or complex configurations required. Like a dedicated webcam, it encodes from HDMI to USB video class and USB audio class formats, allowing you to instantly stream at the high speed of USB 3.0 with any service, platform, or application that accepts a webcam as an A/V source.
With the ROLAND UVC-01, stereo audio is embedded into the HDMI feed along with the video. And thanks to its dedicated audio input, you can also input a secondary audio source. For example, you can play short music clips from a smartphone, or use the Roland GO-MIXER Pro to combine a microphone and instruments for impactful musical performances.
With the ROLAND UVC-01, you can transmit your video signal to both the live and online audience—simply connect it to the second output of the switcher and simultaneously broadcast live to a streaming platform of your choice.
With the free Roland Video Recorder application, you can also record high-quality video and audio via the ROLAND UVC-01 in real time, ready for upload to video sharing sites.
