Compact and powerful, the V-80HD meets the needs of professional video productions for in-person events, live streaming, studio productions, and other applications. The all-in-one design is easy to transport and set up, with flexible input and output features, along with support for 3G SDI, HDMI, USB 3.0, and LAN (RTMP/SRT) connections. The V-80HD also includes multi-channel audio mixing and effects, integrated PTZ camera control, and remote operation with video monitoring via dedicated control apps. And with the dedicated Graphics Presenter software, you can easily enhance your productions with high-quality titles, motion graphics, and much more.

Multiple Video Inputs

The V-80HD offers versatile input connectivity via HDMI for common A/V devices, and SDI for long-distance cables and high-quality cameras. Eight channels are available in total, allowing for seamless switching for up to four HDMI and four SDI input sources. Two 4K HDMI inputs feature a downscaler with the ability to send parallel connections to gaming consoles at eSports events. Additionally, an SRT input can be assigned to a cross-point button, along with an SDI and HDMI input.

Versatile Video Outputs and Flexible Routing

With its multiple assignable outputs, including two SDI and three HDMI video outputs, a USB-C output for streaming, and LAN (RTMP/SRT), the V-80HD provides a high-level video matrix. Each output can be assigned to 10 buses, allowing you to send the signal to program displays, auxiliary monitors, producer's multi-view displays, and online audiences simultaneously.

Powerful Video Effects Processor

The V-80HD is packed with features to enhance presentations with high-class video effects and graphics. The built-in effects generator offers five composition layers, including a split-screen effect, two PinP windows with key composition, and a DSK with fill/key composition support. It's easy to create common templates, such as a presentation with a single speaker, image slides, and a title in the background. The PinP and DSK layers can be individually managed on the Program, Sub-Program, and two Aux outputs, providing enough flexibility for any production need.

Professional Graphics for Everyone

The Graphics Presenter software for Windows allows you to easily create exceptional quality titles and graphics, eliminating the need for expensive third-party graphic presentation solutions. Setup with the V-80HD is quick and direct: it only requires a single HDMI connection to send fill and key signals from the computer to the switcher.

Graphics Presenter offers an intuitive workflow with a wide selection of ready-to-edit templates, including animated text titles, sports scores, motion graphics, and much more. The software and templates are available for free, while additional content is periodically provided for download on Roland Cloud.

Plug & Play Streaming

The V-80HD uses the same connection technology as webcams, providing a plug & play streaming experience. Simply connect the USB-C output to a computer or smartphone, and start streaming with Zoom, Microsoft Teams, or any platform that uses a webcam as a source. LAN connectivity is also supported, allowing you to stream directly to YouTube, Facebook Live, Twitch, or any RTMP platform without a computer.

Secure AV Transmission with SRT

The V-80HD supports SRT (Secure Reliable Transport), an open-source standard for AVoIP that provides secure transmission of encrypted audio and video over IP networks. It also offers appropriate connectivity for future needs within installed system configurations. SRT allows you to seamlessly extend your V-80HD's production capabilities via LAN or an internet connection. Access camera feeds from remote locations and switch them with local HDMI and SDI sources, and send a dedicated SRT video output to an external destination, such as another building at the production site.

Recording to SDXC Card

With the V-80HD's internal recorder, you can easily capture an event to an SDXC card and provide your client with an H.264 MP4 video file* for their editing and distribution needs. Stereo WAV audio can also be recorded independently for podcasts and other audio-based media. It is even possible to record still images to internal memory from any video output bus, to save them to the card for later use.

PTZ Camera Support

Robotic PTZ (pan-tilt-zoom) cameras further expand production possibilities, offering extended coverage with studio broadcast quality. And thanks to their small size, they can be discreetly placed, even where larger cameras would be inconvenient to position.

The V-80HD includes built-in control support for selected Canon, JVC, Panasonic, Sony, PTZOptics, Avonic LAN PTZ cameras and VISCA compatible cameras. Mix and match different brands, and control up to 8 PTZ cameras simultaneously. The V-80HD Remote iPad App is the ideal companion for PTZ operations, providing controls for remote cameras and video monitoring from the tablet.

Fast Workflow Thanks to Scenes and Macros

Saving and recalling custom scenes only requires pressing a few buttons on the V-80HD. The 32 scene memories and powerful effects processor work together to provide smooth scene changes, including synchronizing the transition of all program output composition layers. The 100 macros go even further, allowing you to configure and execute complex action lists that include switching, DSK on/off, audio mix adjustments, PTZ camera movements, and much more.

Our free remote control software for macOS, Windows, and iPad further enhances this workflow, offering a simple graphical interface for configuring and previewing actions before live execution.

The Magic of Sequencing

The V-80HD's sequencer makes scenes and macros even more powerful, allowing a single operator to easily execute perfectly timed cues. You can record up to 1,000 steps, and each step can include both scenes and macros. Simplify your productions by setting up your cues in the sequence list in advance and activating them in order using the Next button on the panel.

Professional Audio Mixer and Effects

The V-80HD offers 28 channels of audio mixing along with a wide selection of processing tools, I/O routing options, and automation features. Enhance sound with ready-to-use effects, including high-quality vocal processing and a useful Loudness Gain function to manage levels during streaming. With the built-in Audio Player, it's easy to integrate music and sound effects into any production. Three output buses are available, ready to support complex routing needs for event streaming and studio recording setups.

Customizable Pad Control

Eight user-assignable pads provide quick control of many V-80HD functions. The pads are organized into eight banks, providing direct access to 64 different operations. Recall scenes, macros, and sequencer steps, activate audio and video clips, start and stop streams, and much more. It's even possible to control Graphics Presenter software functions when the host computer is connected to the V-80HD via USB.

The dedicated V-80HD Remote app transforms an iPad into an efficient touch interface for the V-80HD, with versatile connectivity via USB, Bluetooth, or a wireless LAN (Wi-Fi) connection. Manage essential switching functions, mix audio with virtual faders, quickly change settings and effect parameters, and create scenes for simple and fast configuration changes. It is also possible to monitor video and control switching functions from the app with the latest iPad models and a USB connection.*
