ROLAND VR-1HD is an audio/video streaming mixer that enables you to broadcast dynamic multi-camera live streams, complete with incredible images and sound that easily surpass "standard" live streams from a mobile phone or static webcam.
ROLAND VR-1HD features three "worry-free" HDMI inputs, each accepting a variety of HD and computer-based video resolutions. This allows you to connect, switch, and stream different sources including cameras, presentations, gameplay, and even smartphones and tablets seamlessly. The audio from these sources can be mixed with the two studio-quality XLR microphone inputs and the dedicated line input. Since ROLAND VR-1HD is designed for live broadcasting, its dedicated controls and top-mounted microphone input (with gooseneck microphone) allow for hands-free operation and headphones during live streaming.
ROLAND VR-1HD features built-in Scene Switching to instantly switch between scenes containing preset arrangements of layered sources, displayed within customizable picture-in-picture windows, and Chroma key which enables
the use of a green screen to position a subject in front of a background that isn't actually present.
ROLAND VR-1HD allows you to change cameras with three automatic switching modes that eliminate effort once broadcasting begins:
- Video Follows Audio: ROLAND VR-1HD switches cameras based on who is speaking into the microphone. If both people are speaking simultaneously, or if no one is speaking, ROLAND VR-1HD can switch to a wide shot showing both presenters.
- Beat Sync Switching: ROLAND VR-1HD switches to different camera inputs based on the playback timing or music of a DJ performance, allowing it to act as a VJ.
- Auto Scan: For extended live streaming without an operator, ROLAND VR-1HD switches from one source to another in a preset order or randomly, at your chosen time frequency.
Thanks to the automatic mixing function, ROLAND VR-1HD ensures that different audio inputs don't compete with each other, also controlling that sound remains balanced. You can also set certain inputs to have priority so that when the host starts speaking, other audio levels are automatically reduced. Additionally, the audio from input sources can automatically change when you switch video sources, activating the Audio Follows Video function.
