This 24 V safety power supply system, in a 19'' 2U rack format, is part of an EN 54‑4/A2 certified unit designed to ensure the operational continuity of evacuation and safety sound systems. The device manages and recharges the connected batteries, which automatically activate in case of mains power failure to ensure the system's operation during evacuation procedures.
Status communication occurs via front LEDs, while dry contacts allow alarm reporting to external systems. The unit controls battery presence and impedance (i.e., internal resistance, current delivery capacity, and any anomalies in the battery circuit), protects against temperature variations and deep discharge, and integrates comprehensive protection on all rear connections. The SONaes range also offers up to six amplifier outputs and three independent fused auxiliary outputs, with fully extractable connectors and surge protection.
