SE ELECTRONICS RN17 is a pencil format instrument microphone and is the new model in the sE Rupert Neve microphone range.
The hand-wound transformer features a custom design that makes SE ELECTRONICS RN17 the world's first pencil microphone with a large transformer and exceptional performance.
For the RN17, sE Electronics has specifically designed a new 17 mm capsule, the world's smallest gold-sprayed Mylar capsule, which provides this microphone with magnificent output and an incredible level of definition and detail.
The transformer designed by Rupert Neve guarantees extremely high headroom.
The combination of the two delivers an excellent result within an elegant chassis with satin finish.
The microphone comes with a cardioid capsule inside a beautiful wooden case that allows you to store optional capsules as well: supercardioid, omnidirectional, hypercardioid and figure 8.
The entire system is supplied with a custom shock-mount inside a high-quality flight case.
