The SE ELECTRONICS RN17 is a pencil instrument microphone and is the new model in the sE Rupert Neve microphone range.
The hand-wound transformer has a custom design, making the SE ELECTRONICS RN17 the world's first pencil microphone with a large transformer and exceptional performance.
For the RN17, sE Electronics specially designed a new 17mm capsule, the world's smallest gold-sputtered Mylar capsule, which provides this microphone with magnificent rendition and an incredible level of definition and detail.
The transformer designed by Rupert Neve ensures very high headroom.
The combination of the two offers an excellent result within an elegant chassis with a satin finish.
The microphone comes with a cardioid capsule inside a beautiful wooden case that also allows for storing optional capsules: supercardioid, omni, hypercardioid, and figure-8.
The entire system comes with a custom shock-mount inside a very high-quality flight case.
