The SENNHEISER MKH 40 P48 U is a cardioid high-frequency condenser microphone with an extended and linear frequency response and extremely low distortion, allowing for the capture of a wide variety of sound sources with maximum tonal fidelity. Sound balance is ensured by neutral directional properties and high rear attenuation. Exceptional transparency in close-up recording of instruments or vocals with switchable proximity effect compensation for environmental use, or in AB or XY stereo pairs.
