L'unità Showtec DMX Merge permette di combinare due controller DMX a una linea DMX o di utilizzare un secondo banco, come banco di back-up.
L'unità dispone di 4 modalità:
1) HTP (High Take Precedence) In questo caso è possibile utilizzare due banchi simili con lo stesso
indirizzamento su una linea. Il canale DMX con il valore più alto ha la priorità.
2) Modalità de backup. L'unità è connessa a due banchi DMX. Il canale A ha la priorità.
Nel caso in cui il canale A non funzioni correttamente o non disponesse di alcun canale DMX, il canale B prende il sopravvento sullo spettacolo.
3) Modalità di mixaggio. I due banchi possono unirsi su una linea sola. Ad esempio è possibile eseguire un setter di scena
e un operatore DMX su una sola linea. Il dispositivo Scene Setter opererà sul canale 1-96 e
l'unità DMX Operator avrà i canali 97 e superiori.
Queste posizioni possono essere liberamente indirizzati dai microinterruttori.
4) LTP (Latest Take Precedence) in questo caso è possibile utilizzare due scrivanie simili con lo stesso indirizzamento su una sola riga. L'ingresso DMX con l'ultima modifica del valore ha la priorità.
