The Quick DMX range is the ideal lighting control solution. It allows you to control everything from simple LED spots to the most complex moving lights and pixel-based devices using a computer, software, and an interface. The Quick DMX software is loaded onto the computer to create and control the light show via a USB or Ethernet port interface.

The software has been designed to be intuitive and can therefore be used even by those with limited knowledge of DMX and lighting programming. We offer exclusive software, available for free download from the download page of our website. The software is available for Windows and macOS operating systems. All software updates are free.

THE SOFTWARE

The software contains different views: Editor, Pixel, Live, Standalone. For each view, there are dedicated tabs that provide direct access to all necessary functions and settings.

You can indicate your lighting equipment in Editor > Fixtures. The library contains personality files for the most common devices (spots, bars, moving heads, colour changers, strobes, etc.). This library is updated periodically to keep up with newly marketed devices. If the light you are using is not included, you can report it on our forum (https://thelightingcontroller.com/viewforum.php?f=25) and we will include it for you. Alternatively, it is easy to add and configure new devices yourself in the software. You can patch your devices without losing previously created scenes and generators (device-based technology).

By going to Editor > Steps, you can create scenes. The view allows you to manage many features such as:
• DMX values for each device
• RGB colour picker
• Chase step overview and editor
• Time and fade mode for each channel
• 2D view of devices
• Device grouping

In Generator, you can create complex lighting scenes with just a few mouse clicks; it can manage pan/tilt movements, colours, gobos, and effects for a group of moving lights, with delay effects. It has preset shapes specifically for dimmers, movements, and colours.

With Pixels, it's easy to create chaser, rainbow, and text effects or upload GIFs to use as templates for your show with animated pixels. Simply add your devices with the correct horizontal and vertical pixels, assign the colour range, and position them on screen as a real setup. Pixels will perform all calculations and generate all DMX values.

In Live, you can play and customise the show according to your needs (pages, buttons, presets). You can create buttons for colours, effects, movements, but it is also possible to trigger a complete light scene or a media file with a timeline. While operating in Live mode, you can override it with the Editor.
With 3DView, you can view the stage in three dimensions, and the movement of the lights is shown in real time from any viewpoint. You set the stage dimensions and place your objects and lighting devices. The program includes a bank of basic objects (speakers, truss, musical instruments, ...). You can also import your own objects. You set the position of each object (or device). These parameters can be set for a group of objects. You set textures, brightness, and smoke level for greater realism.

Timeline is software for synchronized editing of multimedia shows. It can play numerous file formats (video, image, audio, and light scenes). Simply drag the files into the timelines and run them for the desired time. Possible applications are:
• Basic "sound and light." Playable audio files are in wav, mp3, ogg, and wma formats.
• "Video and light" on an LED screen or video projector. Playable image files are in bmp, jpg, png, giff formats. Playable video files are in avi, mpg, mpeg, mov, wmv formats.

Sequential List is software for editing vertical lists of scenes. It can play scenes sequentially by pressing a "Go" button.

Quick DMX Rack 1024 is a standalone interface that can store 16 different chases or scenes. This makes the unit particularly suitable for fixed installations. Even non-technical users can easily control their light show with Quick DMX Rack. They can select 16 pre-programmed routines from an installer. To edit or change chases or scenes, the unit must be connected to the Quick DMX software. It is also possible to use the controller as a 1024 Channel DMX interface. The interface has 3 indicator LEDs: power, USB connection, and DMX input.
8 external contacts on the back allow connection of any switch or external trigger that can be programmed to start a scene or show.
The Quick DMX Rack 1024 comes with an external infrared receiver and an infrared remote control to easily select and start the desired scene or show.
