The Shure MVX2U is an extremely compact USB-C audio interface that sits between your microphone and your computer. Featuring one XLR input with 48v phantom power and an impressive 60dB of preamp gain, the MVX2U allows connection of either a dynamic or condenser microphone. DSP functions such as equalization, compression, and limiting are configurable in the free ShurePlus MOTIV Desktop app available for PC and Mac. A headphone output for monitoring is also included.

Thanks to 48v phantom power and the powerful preamplifier that provides up to 60dB of gain, the Shure MVX2U interface adapts to any microphone, even professional dynamic ones like the SM7B, which requires between 50 and 60dB more to operate at an adequate level. The first time you use it, you will find Auto Level mode and phantom power already active: manage them as you wish in the ShurePlus MOTIV Desktop app.
Much more than an XLR to USB adapter
Compared to traditional adapters on the market, the Shure MVX2U stands out because it represents a true audio interface for connecting your microphone to your computer, complete with signal processing functions and processors that can be managed, configured, and recalled in the app for PC and Mac computers. The USB connection standard is USB 2, the female connector on the product is USB-C type, as are the male connectors on the 1-meter cable included. You can connect the Shure MVX2U to standard USB "A" ports – the classic rectangular ones, that is – provided they use the USB 2 standard or higher: you will only need a simple USB-C to USB-A cable.
ShurePlus MOTIV Desktop: optimize your sound, without latency!
The free app available for computers with Windows and macOS operating systems (click here to download) unlocks the following functions for any XLR microphone when using the MVX2U interface. With Monitor Mix, you control the blend between the input signal and the playback signal, for perfect and balanced headphone monitoring according to your needs. Once the distance from the microphone is selected (near or far), Auto Level Mode automatically adjusts the gain level in real-time thanks to the integrated DSP. In "Auto" mode, you will also find 3 equalization presets: Dark, Natural, or Bright. In Manual Mode, you have full control over your microphone's output as you can configure all DSP functions as desired: gain, limiter, compressor, EQ, and more. The ability to save your default settings for quick future access is a must. In addition, the ShurePlus MOTIV Desktop app keeps the interface firmware updated, allowing access to future functionalities and optimizations.
