The SHURE SM27 is a side-address, large-diaphragm condenser microphone with a cardioid polar pattern. Versatile and robust, it is built with premium components that offer exceptional performance both on stage and in the studio. It is a professional-grade microphone, perfect for capturing lead and backing vocals, but also ideal for miking instruments such as acoustic guitar, strings, cymbals, woodwinds, and saxophone. The latest addition to the SM family is suitable as both a stage and studio microphone. The SM27 has a linear and neutral frequency response, as well as very low inherent noise: these characteristics allow for natural sound reproduction. It is equipped with a switchable high-pass filter with three selectable positions, which helps reduce unwanted background noise or neutralize the proximity effect. A -15 dB attenuator makes it even more versatile.
