Designed for critical listening in the recording studio, the SHURE SRH840A feature a slimmer and lighter design with a completely re-engineered, foldable structure compared to the previous model, perfectly adapting to the head. Black with gold accents and stitching, they are aesthetically pleasing for video shoots and photos, making them suitable for broadcast studios, live streaming, and podcasting.
Thanks to a reinforced metal headband that is well-padded and features a breathable woven fabric in contact with the head, the SHURE SRH840A ensure excellent physical balance and a perfect fit, without being burdensome during long work sessions. The closed-back, circumaural design features padded earcups (replaceable if needed) that offer excellent passive isolation and can rotate to accommodate various listening needs, such as single-channel monitoring.
Acoustically, sound transduction is handled by hand-selected 40mm neodymium magnet drivers for optimal coupling, providing precise, consistent, and neutral sound reproduction to meet the needs of professional musicians and sound engineers for studio monitoring. All these construction details result in low harmonic distortion (Low THD), virtually imperceptible artifacts, and the absence of sound coloration across the wide spectrum that the SHURE SRH840A can cover.
The sound signature of the SHURE SRH840A respects the original material, is well-balanced across the entire spectrum (from 5Hz to 25kHz) for excellent mix translation, particularly noteworthy in the low frequencies compared to other headphones in the same price range, and useful as a reference for vocal processing.
Included is a 3-meter "straight" cable that is removable thanks to a bayonet connector, ensuring a secure and optimal lock on the left earcup where the dedicated socket is located. The cable terminates with a 1/8" mini-jack connector and comes with the appropriate gold-plated 1/4" (6.3 mm) jack adapter.
