There are many small sound reinforcement applications where rock concert sound pressure is not required, where frequency response and sound definition are important but available space is always too limited. If we add to this not only the need – often ignored – to correctly position the speakers if you don't want to ruin the final result, but also use in situations where there is no mains power, then Soundsation HyperUp 8BA comes to the rescue. It is a portable column audio system (just over 13kg in total), battery or mains powered, with an 8" high-excursion subwoofer and a vertical array composed of 4 full-range 2.5" speakers driven by 600W peak class-D amplifiers and digital processing for total control of transducers, multiband limiter, protections and frequency response. It features a 3-Ch mixer with USB, SD-Card, and Bluetooth player. The DSP is easy to use and allows the selection of 4 presets to adapt to main uses (Flat, Music, Band, Speech). The angular coverage is 120° x 20°. The column structure in 3 segments – with maximum height, including the subwoofer, of about 1.85m – allows positioning the mid-high transducers closer or further from the subwoofer depending on whether the system is placed on the floor, on a stage or at heights that do not require passive segments. The connections between the subwoofer and the various column segments are internal; the final aesthetic result is decidedly elegant and minimalist where only the power cable (when the system is not used on battery) and audio connection placed on the back can reduce the effect. And if you use a Bluetooth connection with your audio source, the need for connection cables is further reduced. Not only that, but in the case of a stereo system with a double HyperUp 8BA, the TWS (True Wireless Stereo) connection can also be invisible. This system, in fact, allows wireless connection between identical speakers so that the "master" – i.e., the one to which the Bluetooth audio source is connected – connects to the "slave" so that the latter plays only the right channel. In this way, you would have a stereo system without the need for audio connections between the two. HyperUp 8BA comes with a practical padded bag for the protected transport of the 3 column segments. A subwoofer cover (HyperUp 8 Sub Cover, code SOU0114) is also available (optional).
