SOLID STATE LOGIC UF8 is an 8-channel DAW controller that offers a new level of user-focused design: intuitive displays, faders for intelligent control function access, an adjustable stand for perfect positioning, and a layout that enhances workflow. The high-quality touch-sensitive faders, encoders, and high-resolution color screens complete the premium build level, despite the affordable price for an SSL-branded controller.
SOLID STATE LOGIC UF8 is a control surface expandable up to 32 channels, with full integration with all major DAWs, ideal for music creation, production, and mixing, post-production, and webcasting. The new SSL 360° control software can manage multi-controller setups, customized keyboard commands, and switching between DAWs on multiple layers, allowing for seamless transitions between various sessions.
SOLID STATE LOGIC UF8 offers extremely intuitive features developed from deep knowledge of production processes, such as simultaneous access to multiple sessions on different DAWs and multi-function Master Encoder for accessing the DAW timeline and track bank with mouse wheel simulation. A series of "Dual-purpose Selection Keys" allows quick access to select functions like solo and mute clearing in Pro Tools and Logic Pro. The new CHANNEL and PLUG-IN control modes will provide an enhanced workflow for all those using SOLID STATE LOGIC UF8 with Pro Tools, favoring faster access to sends and plug-ins without slowing down creativity.
Each SOLID STATE LOGIC UF8 is equipped with 43 assignable user key sets across 5 configurable banks, allowing the user to customize their essential keyboard shortcuts and macros for complete session control. Multiple controllers can be added to create a personal mixing system; program a perfect music creation center with 16-24 channels, or connect 4 SOLID STATE LOGIC UF8s into a single system to create a 32-channel control ideal for large post-production or mixing sessions. Multiple SOLID STATE LOGIC UF8s can be connected together via the THRU port, which can also provide a secure place to store the iLok. To optimize its positioning, each SOLID STATE LOGIC UF8 includes an adjustable stand with 6 elevation angles. 19” rackmount kits are also available for insertion into the center of an ORIGIN console or in a studio rack.
The new SSL 360° software enables quick setup and "administrator" control for the SOLID STATE LOGIC UF8. With an extensive "drag-n-drop" configuration system, it provides quick and dynamic access to the configuration of each individual controller. Customize workflows and define up to 3 different DAW layers for simultaneous session control with all changes organized without ever losing control of productivity.
