STEREO MICROPHONE SET
The PCM-8000 MATCH is a set of two 16mm diaphragm condenser microphones, designed for stereo recording of acoustic instruments, drum overheads, choirs, and live performances. The microphones are matched within 1dB tolerance; they feature a 0dB/-10dB gain selector and a 100Hz high-pass filter to adapt to all sources and microphone preamplifiers. They also require 48V phantom power. The kit - enclosed in a practical plastic case with protective padding - includes, in addition to the two microphones, two shock-mounts with 3/8” to 5/8” adapters, a spacer bar with distance and inclination relationship of the two microphones, and two pop-filters. The pressure gradient capsule with cardioid polar pattern is based on a 16mm gold-plated diaphragm. The gold vapor plating process deposited on the surface provides lightness, excellent electrical capacity, and a linear frequency response. The lightweight and robust metal microphone body contains the JFET preamplifier to maintain high isolation between the input and output stages, and low internal noise.
