Mastering Equalizer
The SPL PQ MASTERING EQUALIZER is a dual-channel, fully parametric five-band mastering equalizer. The SPL PQ MASTERING EQUALIZER Model 1540/1544 is a revised new edition of the well-known SPL PQ MASTERING EQUALIZER Model 2050. Both units are based on 120V rail technology, and the new SPL PQ MASTERING EQUALIZER features the same high-quality characteristics as the previous model. All five bands can be activated or deactivated, and you have the option (for each individual band) to switch separately between constant Q and proportional Q characteristics, a feature that has not yet been replicated in any other equalizer. Each channel can be fully activated or deactivated, thanks to Auto-Bypass, which can also be automated in a freely selectable time interval. Furthermore, the bypass of each band and the constant Q of the left side can be controlled from the right side in Link mode. Thanks to the 1/4 Gain-Switch, you can reduce the maximum amplitude boost or attenuation by a factor of 3/4, which adjusts the potentiometer from max +/- 20 dB to +/- 5 dB cut. This gives you the ability to make small corrections, common in Mastering, or larger ones in Proportional-Q mode. With the SPL PQ MASTERING EQUALIZER, you can also adjust the Gain, Frequency, and Q parameters in 41 steps with stepped potentiometers, allowing for extremely precise adjustments.
