A completely different type of equalization, which enables almost virtuous interventions in the sound image. During mixing, mastering and restoration, the Tube Vitalizer goes beyond traditional equalization.
It makes the richness of detail of audio signals more audible. Interventions in the sound image are more musical in nature. Music productions sound more natural, lively, differentiated, easier to understand, more deeply layered and more spaced out. Drive controls the level entering the filter network. The bass emphasizes a soft or hard tone. The coil filter (LC) makes the bass more concise and the compressor catches level peaks. Mid-Hi Tune sets the operating frequency above which frequencies are emphasized and below which frequencies are cut. Process Level adjusts the intensity of Mid-Hi Tune and bass. In addition to the main Vitalizer circuit, the Tube Vitalizer has a harmonic and high-frequency processing stage with frequency and intensity controls and switchable coil filter (LC) and compressor.
A fundamental characteristic of the Vitalizer is the unmasking of overlapping sound components. The Vitalizer therefore relates the perception time of a frequency to its amplitude. Through a minimal temporal shift of the high frequencies, quieter and previously overlapping sound components are "unmasked" and thus become audible.
