Combined with the high-quality built-in D-PRE preamps, the Rupert Neve Designs transformers offer a more expressive musical sound with rich harmonics, particularly beneficial for vocals, acoustic guitar, and other instruments with a versatile dynamic range.

Input channels 1-4 on the STEINBERG UR-RT4 each feature a transformer specially developed by Rupert Neve Designs. With this transformer, you can add natural distortion to the signal to achieve a sound with more depth and perspective, while maintaining the natural sound of the D-PRE itself when the transformer is disabled.
