Sound Generation: Physical Modeling & HD Sound FX
The sound generation system is based on advanced techniques of: Sampling, Wave Shaping, and true physical modeling. Acoustic piano sounds are processed by dedicated DSPs that reproduce sympathetic string resonance (Duplex Resonance), key-off noise (Key Off), and damper pedal noise (Damper); additionally, there are 8 Insert FX, 2 per Zone, and Master Delay and Reverb (with FDN technology). Specific Zoom settings are also available, allowing for a wide variety of timbres by simply modifying the most significant editing parameters, with the ability to store them in PROGRAM locations.
MIDI Master control functions
NUMA X PIANO 73 possesses the advanced control functions of the STUDIOLOGIC SL series with 4 zones manageable in Split or Layer, a complete set of programmable MIDI parameters for each zone, and physical controls such as 2 Pitch/Modulation Sticks and Aftertouch that considerably increase the versatility and thus the application possibilities of the instrument.
NUMA Manager and SOUNDS database expansion
A large section of NUMA X PIANO's memory has been left free to load additional sound libraries, which will be published on the Studiologic website; all FACTORY and USER sounds can be moved as desired, thanks to the free NUMA MANAGER software which will also allow firmware updates and personalized program organization.
The innovative user interface
All functions and parameters of NUMA X PIANO 73 are under the control of an innovative adaptive color user interface called: UXLogic. This is based on a large backlit display and rotary encoders, all color-coded and always in sync with the selected operating zone. This system always allows clear and direct access to all functions, with smooth navigation between parameters. Such a rational interface has made it possible to obtain a panel with an essential layout with few controls and great ease of use of the instrument.
