The STUDIOLOGIC SL88 GRAND is a professional master keyboard featuring a "Graded Hammer" weighted keyboard with "Ivory Touch" wooden keys, designed to replicate the tactile sensation of a real concert grand piano keyboard. Each individual key boasts 3 contacts for the most accurate dynamic detection. Thanks to its compact profile, the STUDIOLOGIC SL88 GRAND is an extremely portable professional controller. Despite having a weighted keyboard with wooden keys, it weighs less than 21 kg. It's ready to handle any situation on stage or in the studio thanks to its very robust metal casing. The keyboard's transport is made easier and safer by special grip points made of extremely durable molded plastic.
The user interface of the STUDIOLOGIC SL88 GRAND is the result of combining a crisp color TFT display with 6-way control knobs, allowing for quick and logical navigation through all its functions. Functions such as switching between the four zones into which the keyboard can be divided are achieved by simply moving the controller, then by clicking and turning the knob again, you can select and adjust the desired parameter. Furthermore, the three buttons to the right of the knob return you to the top level of the system with a simple press, no matter where you are.
The STUDIOLOGIC SL88 GRAND provides 3 X/Y Joystick controllers, not only for performance but also for direct control and modification of any sound parameter. Joystick 1, with automatic center return, allows movement in both X/Y directions. Its typical use is for pitch and modulation control. Joystick 2 has automatic center return only for the X direction. Joystick 3 is free on both X/Y axes and is therefore ideal for controlling parameters such as panning or crossfade, or other continuous parameters. All 3 controls are made of aluminum and are extremely solid and well-balanced under the fingers.
The innovative magnetic rail system on the rear panel allows for easy installation of a music stand, or a support plate for a laptop, tablet, or simply for sheet music. It works in a simple and ingenious way; simply click the supports on the rear panel and move them to match the required position for accessory installation.
The new powerful Software Editor allows you to easily set up the STUDIOLOGIC SL88 GRAND directly from your computer, controlling all keyboard functions from there. Its clear and ergonomic user interface makes creating and modifying all parameters a quick and easy task.
Never before has it been possible to fine-tune a keyboard in such a refined way. Thanks to the exclusive Key Balance function, its dynamic response can be profoundly modified, and the balance between white and black keys can be easily calibrated with a simple turn of a knob. It's even possible to set each key individually on the screen.
SL Editor has a clear and comfortable user interface that faithfully replicates the instrument's internal editing structure, expanded and integrated across all screens. This way, every parameter can be easily adjusted via computer, while all changes are synchronized in real-time with the connected instrument.
The SL's Touch key allows you to change, load, or modify the internal Velocity curves, based on configuration and technical and performance preferences. Soft, Medium, and Hard are the predefined response curves, designed by Studiologic. In addition, you can set personal velocity curves by inserting various points and connecting them with lines, capable of precisely controlling the relationship between key velocity and output dynamic value. You can program a curve from scratch or import one and adapt it to your needs. Personal curves can be saved in 6 memories.
