Compact 8-track digital recorder with 2 built-in microphones. The DP-008EX offers professional recording functions in a compact device. Two condenser microphones are installed on the front, the unit is battery-powered and is ideal for spot recordings. Record vocals and acoustic guitars without the need for additional devices. Thanks to its analog knobs, integrated chromatic tuner, and ultralight design, this Pocketstudio is one of the easiest devices to use at any time. The DP-008EX features two XLR/TS inputs with phantom power to connect condenser microphones, acoustic or electric guitars, or a synthesizer (line signal). Using a dedicated cable, a peripheral such as a PAD can also be connected. The recording medium is SD/SDHC (a 2GB card is included). All recordings can be transferred via USB 2.0 or through an SD card reader. Basic editing functions are also available. The DP-008EX features insert effects for each channel including EQ, compressor, de-esser, and exciter. Up to six types of reverb are available to suit any type of sound. The reverb level is adjustable via a convenient dedicated knob for each track. Mastering effects with 2-band EQ, multiband compressor, and normalization are available to create quality masters. Ability to master files manually or via an auto-analysis function. For long-duration recordings, the DP-008EX can be directly connected to the optional battery pack (BP-6AA).
