The TASCAM DR-10L is a super-compact digital recorder with a lavalier microphone, fitting in the palm of your hand and weighing just 51 grams. It's ideal for use as a stealth recorder in film shoots, interviews, stage performances, and more. The included belt clip offers various options depending on the situation.
The lavalier microphone captures a wide range of sound levels with a sensitivity of -42dBV/Pa and a maximum input sound pressure of 115dB SPL. Just a few simple panel settings are needed to start recording, and the screw-lock connection is always secure.
The TASCAM DR-10L is powered by a single AAA battery that lasts about 10 hours (with alkaline battery) and provides all-day performance with minimal concern for battery replacement.
The TASCAM DR-10L comes bundled with a free full version of RX Elements, iZotope’s innovative audio repair and noise reduction tool. The DR-10L/RX Elements bundle offers a powerful recording and editing workflow solution for live productions where ambient noise and environmental distractions are common post-production challenges, including weddings, on-location film and documentaries, to name a few.
The TASCAM DR-10L has functions to prevent problems related to recording level settings, including a dual recording function that allows you to set the highest possible recording level while simultaneously recording a backup track at a lower level.
The unit features five different gain levels in addition to an automatic gain control function. There is also a limiter function.
Designed to capture high-quality audio at 44.1 kHz/48 kHz, 16/24 bit. Perfect for TV, film, and theatrical shows, as well as lectures and other professional recording applications. It records in WAV/BWF recording format, selectable from mono or poly (stereo file with the same data on both left and right channels). Additionally, the filename format can be set to use a user-defined word or the date.
You can check the battery level, recording status, and level meter on the easy-to-read organic EL display. For this reason, the TASCAM DR-10L does not require LED lights that can be seen during production, especially in dark environments.
Even though this unit is compact, it can play back recorded files. You can also connect headphones to immediately check recorded data and to monitor the input during recording.
