The TASCAM MZ-372 is a multi-band, multi-zone mixer designed for permanent installation that offers versatile routing, mixing, and control of multiple audio sources in an easy-to-use 3U format. For maximum flexibility, source content can include music, speech (microphone), turntables, and more, all easily controllable via familiar faders and assignment controls.
The TASCAM MZ-372 allows multiple audio sources (19 total) to be mixed, muted, and routed to two redundant outputs, controlled by volume faders and assignment keys. Input signals can be fed via six audio channels, each consisting of two sets of unbalanced stereo RCA pairs and six XLR inputs for a total of twelve sets of RCA type inputs and six XLR inputs. Additionally, channels 2/3/4 can be set to accommodate phono-level signals for use with a turntable. Finally, conveniently located on the front panel, an additional XLR input is available, driving a studio-quality microphone preamplifier and a ducking circuit to facilitate voiceover and announcement work.
Twin outputs each feature a combination of unbalanced XLR or RCA connectors for easy integration into any audio system. This flexibility allows you to select or mute combinations of microphones, CD/DVD/Blu-ray players, instruments, or any other audio source and send them simultaneously to the dual outputs, each with its own volume control. Finally, the convenient "talkover" feature automatically lowers any mixed channel source so that the microphone connected to the front panel can be easily heard in any zone you choose.
Convenient sliders, switches/buttons, EQ knobs, and mute buttons make the TASCAM MZ-372 quick and easy to operate and set up. There is also a master stereo recording output, which can send audio to an external recorder, making it easy to record events or music. Booth outputs provide another stereo feed with independent control for additional monitoring.
