TASCAM US 2x2 HR is a 2-channel audio interface featuring 2 mic/line inputs with guitar input support which can be used in various music/multimedia production environments such as simultaneous vocal/guitar recordings as well as high-quality audio recording for video production. The unit also features a USB-C port which is easily powered by USB bus power.
High-resolution reproduction in the US-HR series has been pursued based on TASCAM's policy of recreating the sound as close to the original as possible. Therefore, the in-house-developed Ultra-HDDA mic preamp combined with a newly improved audio circuit delivers enhanced audio performance with the most transparent and quiet sound.
Direct monitoring will diverge signals before sending them to the computer resulting in smooth monitoring with no delay whether recording or performing.
US-HR models come bundled with world-renowned software that will enhance the user's production workflow. At the core of music production, Steinberg’s Cubase LE/Cubasis LE 3 DAW is included, alongside IK Multimedia’s Sample Tank SE, which comes free with a massive 30GB sound library which spans over 2,000 different musical instruments.
US-HR models also include a free 3-month subscription to Auto-Tune Unlimited, a comprehensive suite of industry-standard pitch correction and vocal effects.
TASCAM US 2x2 HR can be used with computers or smartphones to easily create podcasts or live streams. Audio can be switched between stereo/mono, and the loopback function allows audio from the computer to be returned to the streaming software for playback during live streams. TASCAM US 2x2 HR also supports OBS, which is popular and used worldwide.
MIDI IN/OUT inputs allow for synchronization and control of other external MIDI devices such as keyboards, drum machines, controllers, etc.
TASCAM US 2x2 HR can also be used as an interface for iPads and other iOS devices.
With US 2x2 HR, TASCAM has achieved further stability in the native driver. The audio buffer size can be set from 4 samples (Windows only) to give the best performance in each different environment and maximize the capability of the computer in use by creating a low-latency environment.
US-HR models share a solid and practical design intended to withstand long hours of tough usage. The robust metal casing not only enhances its durability but combined with die-cast aluminium side panels, provides a sleek and attractive design.
